This summer, Artistry Youth Dance is raising vital funds to take 10 of our young dancers on a life-changing international exchange to Sydney, Australia, in partnership with the Bangarra Youth & Education Program, part of Bangarra Dance Theatre — one of Australia’s most respected dance organisations.
From 19–31 August 2026, our dancers will take part in an intensive creative exchange, training and creating new work alongside Indigenous young people in Australia. Together, they will share culture, explore identity, build leadership skills, and connect through dance across continents.
For many of our dancers, this will be their first time travelling internationally. Opportunities like this are rare — and transformative.
Experiences like this can:
- Build confidence and self-belief
- Expand creative and cultural understanding
- Connect young people to global dance communities
- Inspire future careers in the arts and beyond
Representation and access matter, and we are determined that no young person is excluded because of cost.
How you can help
We are crowdfunding £10,000 to help cover essential costs for 10 dancers and 3 staff, including:
- International flights (London–Sydney–London)
- Accommodation and food
- Cultural and learning activities
Every donation — no matter the size — directly reduces the financial burden on families and helps ensure all 10 dancers can take part.
✨ This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that will empower the next generation of young Black dance artists, strengthening their confidence, pride, and ambition.
Please consider donating and sharing our campaign. With your support, we can make this opportunity possible.
Thank you for believing in our young people ❤️💛💙
With gratitude,
Artistry Youth Dance
