IAs part of AYD100, we are inviting 100 young Black dancers to see Disney's Westend Musical, The Lion King at The Lyceum Theatre for FREE!

Tickets are available for young people aged 12 – 19 years, of African or Caribbean descent, who have an interest in dance.

Available dates are:
Tuesday 5th and Wednesday 6th October, 2021, 5.30pm.

The tickets have been provided to encourage more young people of African and Caribbean descent to see live dance shows across a range of genres.

Since Artistry Youth Dance started in 2013, we've showcased and celebrated young dancers of African and Caribbean descent, and taken them to see live dance shows across a range of genres. We know from our own experiences and testimonials from our young dancers how important it is for them to see successful role models take up space in different dance genres that they once thought were not for people that looked like them. In response to the positive feedback we’ve had so far, we’ve decided to cast the net further and inspire more young dancers.

The Lion King

Disney’s award-winning musical THE LION KING explodes with glorious colours, stunning effects and enchanting music. It follows the powerful story of Simba as he journeys from wide-eyed cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands.

Now in its 21st year at London's Lyceum Theatre, visionary director Julie Taymor’s acclaimed reimagining of Disney's beloved film will redefine your expectation of theatre.
