It's our Birthday!!!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for supporting us to reach 10 years! It is such a fantastic milestone, and could not have happened without the support and belief from you all.

When I started the company in 2013, I had no idea what Artistry Youth Dance would turn out to be, so I’m truly proud of what we have created and honoured to have worked with so many talented young people over the years. It’s always exciting to see the journeys that the dancers have gone on to since their time with us.

Over the 10 years, we have provided opportunities for over 1500 young dancers through our youth dance company, workshops, projects, and events, and we look forward to supporting even more in the future. We continue to remain committed to supporting the next generation of black dance artists and nurturing a richer and more culturally diverse dance community in the UK.

I must thank my wonderful Artistry Youth Dance team, Esme and Destiny, our talented dancers and teachers for their fantastic work, as well as my family and friends for their tireless support. A huge thank you to our extended freelance team, parents & carers, choreographers, mentors, advisors, creatives, arts organisations, funders, donors, studios, venues, partners, supporters, and audiences near and far.

It has been a wonderful journey, and I look forward to celebrating with you soon. Here’s to many more exciting years ahead!

Celebrating Success...
AYD Alumni Alexzandra Barnes did a placement with Uchenna Dance for their upcoming work, Our Mighty Groove for the new Sadler's Wells East Theatre.

"I had an amazing opportunity to work with Uchenna Dance. It was an amazing experience. I got to work with the wonderful Vicki Igbokwe, Kloé Dean and the amazing cast. It was a great way to get back into and learn different styles like Hip-Hop, Afro, Contemporary and Waacking, and fuse them together. It has opened new doors for me in terms of dance theatre and it has made me see that there are a lot more projects and events going on to do with Dance and Theatre." (Alexzandra)
AYD Project assistant, Destiny Bennett-Ellis helped assist on Central School of Speech and Drama's, innovative, newly devised work, Perhaps We Need Become Indecent, directed by Anthea Lewis.

Congratulations both of you! We love hearing about what our students past and present are doing.

How You Can Support Us

There are many ways you can support the work we do at Artistry Youth Dance including making financial donations or speaking to the organisations you are a part of about supporting us.

• On our website we have a new Support Us Section
• It is easy to use and allows you to send donations as a one off or monthly payment
• If you would like to discuss how organisations can support the work we do please contact info@artistryyouthdance.com

Your donations support Artistry Youth Dance in continuing to provide high-quality training and performance opportunities for young Black dancers. As a non-profit community organisation, we rely on your donations, in-kind support, and sponsorships to keep the programme accessible and student fees low.

Most recently, we are thrilled to announce that 5 of our students have been invited to take part in The Ailey School Summer Programme in New York. A life changing opportunity! We are looking for sponsors to support. If this is something you’d like to discuss, please do get in touch at; info@artistryyouthdance.com

We thank you for your support in helping the next generation of young Black dancers reach their potential, to shine and soar.
